Good Evening Marlboro County High School,
Happy New Year!
We hope your winter break provided time to rest, recharge, and enjoy family.
This is a reminder that school resumes tomorrow, January 6th. It is very important that all students arrive on time and ready to learn. Students who drive to school should be on campus by 8:15 a.m. This will allow time to go through the metal detectors and get to class on time. If a student driver arrives after the 8:30 a.m. bell, they will receive one warning. A second late arrival will result in the loss of their driving pass.
We also want to remind students that the dress code expectations will continue to be enforced this semester. Bedroom shoes or slippers, slides, crop tops and other inappropriate clothing, are not allowed to be worn to school. Blankets are also not allowed inside the building.
Please speak with your child about the dress code and behavior expectations.
Remember that all students must have a clear book bag and enter through the metal detectors each morning.
Thank you, parents, for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming our students bright and early tomorrow morning. Have a great evening.
Tomorrow will be a regular school day at Marlboro County High School. End of Course testing will resume on Thursday.
Tomorrow is also the last Flex Wednesday of the semester. Parents, please speak with your child and encourage them to take full advantage of this time by turning in late work and completing any missing assignments.
Thank you for your continued support of Marlboro County High School.
This is a reminder that End of Course (EOC) testing will be this week, December 8-12. All students enrolled in English 2 will test tomorrow.
Please ensure that students bring their Chromebooks to school fully charged and ready for testing each day. Students will need to arrive to school on time so testing can begin promptly without delay.
Thank you for your support in helping our students be prepared and successful!

The City of Bennettsville has informed us that a transformer near Marlboro County High School is down, causing a power outage on campus. Utility crews are actively working to resolve the issue.
At this time, students and staff are safe, and there is no need to dismiss school. Classes will continue as scheduled. The power has been restored, however; we will share updates as soon as we receive additional information from the city and the utility company.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
This is a reminder to parents that if you bring your child to school after 8:30 a.m., you must come inside the main office to sign your child in.
For parents of students that drive to school, please remind your child that they need to arrive to school by 8:15 a.m. This will give them enough time to go through the metal detectors and be in class by 8:30 a.m. Students who drive, and arrive after 8:30 a.m., will have their driving privileges revoked for the remainder of the semester.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in helping us maintain a safe and orderly learning environment at Marlboro County High School.
