The City of Bennettsville has informed us that a transformer near Marlboro County High School is down, causing a power outage on campus. Utility crews are actively working to resolve the issue.
At this time, students and staff are safe, and there is no need to dismiss school. Classes will continue as scheduled. The power has been restored, however; we will share updates as soon as we receive additional information from the city and the utility company.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
This is a reminder to parents that if you bring your child to school after 8:30 a.m., you must come inside the main office to sign your child in.
For parents of students that drive to school, please remind your child that they need to arrive to school by 8:15 a.m. This will give them enough time to go through the metal detectors and be in class by 8:30 a.m. Students who drive, and arrive after 8:30 a.m., will have their driving privileges revoked for the remainder of the semester.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in helping us maintain a safe and orderly learning environment at Marlboro County High School.

We need your support in ensuring that all student drivers arrive at school on time each morning. Please help us by encouraging your child to be on campus no later than 8:15 a.m. each morning. This allows for your child to go through metal detectors, eat breakfast, and be in class by 8:30am.
Beginning immediately, students drivers who arrive and enter MCHS after 8:30 a.m. will lose the privilege of driving to school for the remainder of the nine weeks.

Good Afternoon, Bulldog Family,
Tomorrow is the first day of school, and we are excited to have our students join us back in the building. As we prepare to receive students tomorrow, please take a moment to review the following important updates and reminders:
Building Entry: Everyone entering the building must go through the metal detectors.
Homeroom & Schedules: All students will report to homeroom Monday morning to receive their schedule. Students should follow the schedule provided to them. If any changes are needed, they will be called to the Student Services Department.
Student Drivers: Please arrive on time. First block/homeroom begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. Students arriving after this time will be marked tardy. Multiple tardies may result in revoked driving privileges for the school year. Student drivers should arrive no later than 8:10 a.m. to allow time for metal detector screening and timely arrival to class.
Car Riders: Drop-off and pick-up must occur at the front of the school only. Students may not be dropped off or picked up at the back of the building.
Electronic Devices: Students may use their electronic devices before and after school only. Devices are not permitted during the school day, including lunch, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Behavior Expectations: Parents and guardians, please talk with your child about the importance of displaying positive behavior at school. Safety and instruction are top priorities.
We are looking forward to a successful first day and a great school year at Marlboro County High School. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we demonstrate Tenacity in Thought, Excellence in Action—together.
