MCHS DECA Chapter Attends Fall Leadership Conference

The Marlboro County High School DECA chapter attended the South Carolina DECA Fall Leadership at the Riverbanks Zoo & Gardens on Tuesday, October 24th. Marlboro County High School Seniors and Early Graduates participated in SCCANGO College Application Day, Thursday, October 12, 2017. MCHS Interact Club Attend 2017 Students in Action Fall Leadership Conference

The MCHS Interact Club was selected to attend the “Students in Action 2017 Fall Leadership Conference” at the Lee Foundation Library, Florence on October 12, 2017, Thursday. Students in Action Leadership Conference provides South Carolina high school students with the opportunity to gain valuable life skills, meet new people, and learn to be leaders inside their school and the community. The Leadership Workshops include the following topics: “What’s Our Service” led by Howard Nettles of Genesis Health Care; “How Will We Tell Our Story led by Emma Ashmawi of WPDE ABC 15 News; and “How Will We Create Impact?” led by Dr Sarah Kershner of Francis Marion University.  Read more about MCHS Interact Club Attend 2017 Students in Action Fall Leadership Conference

JROTC Leadership Camp 2017

Thirteen hard charging and motivated Marlboro County High School (MCHS) JROTC Bulldog Battalion cadets attended the first cycle of the Fort Jackson JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge event of Camp Carolina from June 4 – 10 2017. The purpose of the camp was to build character and self-esteem while motivating the cadets as they were evaluated in various leadership positions.  Read more about JROTC Leadership Camp 2017

MCHS Hosts 3rd Annual STEM Night Fever Expo

Marlboro County High School hosted the 3rdAnnual STEM Night Fever Expo at the Gym lobby on May 24th, Wednesday from 5.00 to 7.00 in the evening. Rotary Club Sponsoring Interact Club to the Rotary Youth Leadership Award Conference

Anikka Arroyo, Laqueastia Bridges, and Kalia Thomas all rising seniors and active members of the Marlboro County High School Interact Club were approved by the Rotary Club of Bennettsville to participate in the Rotary Youth Leadership Award training that will take place at Columbia College on June 23-25, 2017. Marlboro County HS Designated as a Silver Leadership School

Marlboro County High School’s Interact Club participated in this year’s Student in Action service competition and was selected as one of eight schools which qualified for the Jefferson Awards out of 31 schools that joined in the Youth Leadership Academy at Coastal Carolina University on March 6, 2017.   Read more about Marlboro County HS Designated as a Silver Leadership School

MCHS Teachers Participate in the 1st PBL Expo at FMU

Marlboro County High School’s Interact Club teacher sponsors participated in the 1st Project Based Learning (PBL) Expo at Francis Marion University on Thursday, April 27th at the Performing Arts Center from five in the afternoon until seven in the evening. The Garden Gate Garden Club made a donation to the MCHS ROTC Blue Star Memorial Project. The check was presented to Dr. Mark Bunch - Principal of MCHS.
