MCHS Students Attend SC State Department of Education Military Recognition Ceremony

Military RecognitionFive Marlboro County High School students/Army JROTC cadets attended the Second Annual SC State Department of Education hosted military recognition ceremony for those students throughout the state who have decided to exhibit selfless service by joining  the various components of the United States Military upon graduation.  State Superintendent Molly Spearman presided over the event at the Lower Richland 2 Auditorium in Columbia on Friday May 12, 2017.  The MCHS students were part of the 300 state wide students recognized that morning with distinctive Red, White, and Blue graduation cords.  Pictured left to right with the component they will join are the following MCHS students:

Hunter Tyndall - United States Navy
Benami Hamilton - United States Army
Shakiera Bridges - United States Army Reserve
Cayla Ward - United States Army Reserve
Shawanna Strickland - United States Army
