Hannah Willis selected as Miss MCHS 2019
On Saturday April 27, 2019, Marlboro County High held its annual Miss MCHS Pageant at the Marlboro County Civic Center. This year’s theme was “Once Upon A Time”. Each contestant’s evening attire was based on a specific fairytale character. Three contestants competed in the categories of casual wear, talent, evening wear, and question & answer. The night was brimming with entertainment and suspense.

DECA Students Attend Conference in Orlando, Florida
Marlboro County High School DECA students, Tramont Miles, Kayse Hicks and Johnathan Jacobs qualified and attended the International Career Development Conference “Ready for It” April 27- May 1 in Orlando, Florida.

MCSD Names Bobby Collins as New Athletic Director
On Monday, Marlboro County High School (MCHS) announced the hiring of a new Athletic Director and head football coach. Bobby Collins will be the new leader for the Marlboro County Bulldogs.

Academic Challenge Team Travels to FMU
On the morning of Saturday, March 23, 2019, the MCHS Academic Challenge Team traveled to Francis Marion University to participate in the Pee Dee Regional Academic Challenge Tournament. Davan Rivers, captain, and Darius Hardison, co-captain received the coveted All-Star Trophy during the awards ceremony. The team underwent five rounds of round-robin style questioning, challenging their intelligence, reflexes, and cooperation skills. This years’ team, a completely new roster of students, has worked extremely hard and shown tremendous growth from six weeks of competition.

Laron Evans wins at FBLA State Conference
Over the weekend of March 23-24, MCHS Future Business Leaders of America members convened at the 2019 State Leadership Conference with 1150 members, advisers, and guests in Charleston, SC. The conference provided the students an opportunity to compete in over sixty academic events as well as attend very informative workshops. Each event requires students to demonstrate and apply their knowledge to real world business scenarios. Workshop topics provided a wealth of information about leadership, networking, transitioning from FBLA in high school to PBL at the collegiate level.
