Parents' Right to Know Requirement

As required by The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001, Title I Part A.  Information is available at our school to include, but is not limited to the following:

whether a teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction; 
whether a teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived; 
the baccalaureate degree major of a teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree;

Summer Credit Recovery 2016

Marlboro County High School will offer up to three sessions of Summer School Credit Recovery this summer. Specific dates for each session are indicated below. MCHS Seniors Receive Acceptance Letters From SCSU

On March 2, 2016, Clifford Smith from South Carolina State University visited the MCHS campus. During the visit graduating seniors who are interested in attending were interviewed. Black History Program
MCHS Conducts Annual Black History Program

The Marlboro County High School administration, staff, and students conducted its annual Black History Program, entitled “The Journey – Moments in Black History, on Tuesday March 1, 2016 in two iterations that morning in the school’s gym. The purpose of the program was to enlighten and educate the student and community audience on the long traveled road towards equality and justice for all people in America. MCHS DECA Chapter Wins Big at DECA State Conference

Select members of the DECA Chapter at Marlboro County High School attended the 73rd Annual South Carolina DECA Career Development Conference in Charleston, SC – February 26-28, 2016. Chef Green visited the Culinary Arts classes at MCHS on February 9, 2016. Chef Green is a graduate of the Art Institute of Charleston and shared his experiences as a chef and private caterer. Alexis Victoria Abraham and Darius Evans, Seniors at MCHS, competed at the DECA Qualifying Event at Westwood High School. Ms. Abraham competed in Automotive Services Marketing and Mr. Evans competed in Accounting. Marlboro County High School Conducts First Annual Veterans Luncheon

The administration, staff, and student leaders of Marlboro County High School (MCHS) conducted the first annual Veterans Day Luncheon on Thursday November 12th starting at noon in the school’s commons area. The purpose of the luncheon was to recognize community veterans for their selfless service and dedication to our great nation during their times of active and or reserve/National Guard service. Marlboro County High School Vocal GT Chorus participates in Unity Day Rally at the State House

On October 21, 2015 the GT Chorus performed at the state house for the second annual Unity Day Rally “Together Against Bullying.” The event was sponsored by the W.I.N. Agency of Bennettsville. During the rally, students from South Carolina shared their experiences of being bullied and bullying prevention. The Keynote speaker was Representative Patricia Henegan. Dr. Andrea Hampton, principal of Marlboro County High School also spoke at the rally. The GT Chorus performed two selections “Don’t Laugh at Me” and “Here’s Where I Stand.”  READ MORE...
