MCHS Presents an Outstanding Multicultural Program in Honor of Black History Month

The Marlboro County High School Fine Arts Department and the multi-cultural members of the faculty presented an outstanding Multicultural program in honor of Black History Month on February 26, 2015 in the school's gym. The theme of the program was A Century of Black Life, History, and Culture. Coach Willie Jefferies, South Carolina State University Coach Emeritus, a well-known character education motivational speaker, was the keynote speaker for the program.   READ MORE...

Marlboro County High School’s Tyrone Abraham, Jr. receives Appointment to West Point

Marlboro County High School Army JROTC Cadet Colonel Tyrone V. Abraham, Jr. son of Tyrone Sr. and Carol Abraham of Bennettsville, SC, received an appointment to the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point on January 31, 2015. He is the first student to not only receive an appointment to West Point from Marlboro County High School since its merging of all the counties high schools in SY 1988 – 1989, but he is also the first African American student from the School District of Marlboro County to earn an appointment to the USMA.   READ MORE...
