Parents' Right to Know Requirement

As required by The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001, Title I Part A.  Information is available at our school to include, but is not limited to the following:

whether a teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction; 
whether a teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived; 
the baccalaureate degree major of a teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree;

Alexis Victoria Abraham and Darius Evans, Seniors at MCHS, competed at the DECA Qualifying Event at Westwood High School. Ms. Abraham competed in Automotive Services Marketing and Mr. Evans competed in Accounting. They both placed 3rd and earned the right to advance to the State DECA Competition in February, 2016.  READ MORE...

MCHS Student Leaders Attend Harbor Leadership Summit

Over fifty future graduates of Marlboro County High School who serve in leadership roles attended the Harbor Leadership Summit at River Bluff High School located in Columbia, South Carolina, October 26, 2015. Marlboro County High School Conducts First Annual Veterans Luncheon

The administration, staff, and student leaders of Marlboro County High School (MCHS) conducted the first annual Veterans Day Luncheon on Thursday November 12th starting at noon in the school’s commons area. The purpose of the luncheon was to recognize community veterans for their selfless service and dedication to our great nation during their times of active and or reserve/National Guard service. Marlboro County High School Vocal GT Chorus participates in Unity Day Rally at the State House

On October 21, 2015 the GT Chorus performed at the state house for the second annual Unity Day Rally “Together Against Bullying.” The event was sponsored by the W.I.N. Agency of Bennettsville. During the rally, students from South Carolina shared their experiences of being bullied and bullying prevention. The Keynote speaker was Representative Patricia Henegan. Dr. Andrea Hampton, principal of Marlboro County High School also spoke at the rally. The GT Chorus performed two selections “Don’t Laugh at Me” and “Here’s Where I Stand.”  READ MORE...
