There were approximately three hundred forty honorees making the all A and/or A/B honor roll for first quarter, second quarter, first semester, or all three. In addition, we paid tribute to Black History Month by highlighting some of the accomplishments of African Americans along with student achievement.
Under the direction of Mrs. Shannon McQueen, the Gold Rush Dance Team provided entertainment by performing an African Dance entitled, “Rhumba Is Raging”. Mrs. Sandra Widejko and the MCHS Chorus along with Mr. Carl Sinkler and members of the MCHS Mighty Marching Band also performed a selection entitled, “Something Inside So Strong”.
In attendance were student body, faculty and staff members, many parents, community leaders and others who came out to celebrate with us. We would like to thank everyone in attendance for your help with making our program a huge success.
