Ms. Maria Maderal trains for Project Lead the Way at USC, Columbia

Maria Maderal, science teacher of MCHS is the school district’s delegate to the project Lead The Way (PLTW) training at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Maderal is currently enrolled in Introduction to Engineering Design course (IED), an intensive and immersive 10-day training at the university.  READ MORE...

Maria Maderal to Attend Science P.L.U.S. Institute

Roper Mountain Science Center, a facility of Greenville County Schools, is pleased to announce that Ms Maria Maderal, who teaches at Marlboro County High School, has been selected to attend the Science P.L.U.S. Institute during the summer of 2014. The Institute, 100% funded by a South Carolina Education Improvement Act (EIA) grant, gives intensive training in science teaching methods and activities to public school science teachers from throughout the State of South Carolina. The Institute emphasizes the Center’s belief that all students deserve a good science education.   READ MORE...
