Parents' Right to Know Requirement

As required by The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001, Title I Part A.  Information is available at our school to include, but is not limited to the following:

whether a teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction; 
whether a teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived; 
the baccalaureate degree major of a teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree;

Demetrius “Buster” Knox and Fred Brown signed their National Letter of Intent to play basketball and attend Morris College in Sumter SC. Summer Credit Recovery 2016

Marlboro County High School will offer up to three sessions of Summer School Credit Recovery this summer. Specific dates for each session are indicated below. SCSU Seniors
MCHS Seniors Receive Acceptance Letters From SCSU

On March 2, 2016, Clifford Smith from South Carolina State University visited the MCHS campus. During the visit graduating seniors who are interested in attending were interviewed. Black History Program
MCHS Conducts Annual Black History Program

The Marlboro County High School administration, staff, and students conducted its annual Black History Program, entitled “The Journey – Moments in Black History, on Tuesday March 1, 2016 in two iterations that morning in the school’s gym. The purpose of the program was to enlighten and educate the student and community audience on the long traveled road towards equality and justice for all people in America. MCHS DECA Chapter Wins Big at DECA State Conference

Select members of the DECA Chapter at Marlboro County High School attended the 73rd Annual South Carolina DECA Career Development Conference in Charleston, SC – February 26-28, 2016. FBLA Competition at Lakewood High School

The following students placed in the top five in their event at the District Leadership Conference. First Place Winners were Darius Evans – Sales Presentation, Diashanna Pearson - Word Processing, David Evans – Insurance and Risk Management; Second Place – Tevis Fairley-Word Processing; Third Place-Mae’Yoki Mack-Word Processing and 4th Place-Alexis Abraham – Business Law. Chef Green Visits the Culinary Arts Classes at MCHS

Chef Green visited the Culinary Arts classes at MCHS on February 9, 2016. Chef Green is a graduate of the Art Institute of Charleston and shared his experiences as a chef and private caterer. First Semester Awards Program for 2015 - 2016

Marlboro County High School held its 2015 – 2016 First Semester Honor Roll Program on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 8:30 AM in the MCHS Commons Area.
